CLARETS boss Stan Ternent may be focused on maintaining his side's position at the top of the first division but he did have time to anticipate a classic FA Cup third round tie.
Burnley have been drawn at home to Ryman League side Canvey Island who have already knocked out league sides Wigan Athletic and Northampton Town.
"It is a game I expect to be on the telly because everyone will be expecting it to be a banana skin," said Ternent minutes after the draw on Sunday afternoon.
"It will be a difficult tie for us because we will be expected to win but I am sure that Canvey Island will have something to say about that.
"The league remains our main objective but it is always nice to get a home draw. When the day comes it will be especially nice to look forward to it because the FA Cup third round is a special day."
Canvey Island, who won the FA Trophy at Villa Park last season, beat both their league opponents 1-0, yesterday's win being featured live on BBC's Match of the Day.
Their manager Jeff King gave his immediate reaction on the draw and admitted: "It is a bit early for us to think about it.
"But they are a very big club with great tradition and we are looking forward to it."
Included in the Canvey ranks is former West Ham fullback Julian Dicks, who is now trying to earn a living as a professional golfer.
