I REALLY wish that people would get their facts straight before printing articles in the paper.
As the licensee of the Bulls Head at Wilpshire, I was amazed that this article was printed. The fact that the traders had won is rubbish, as it was myself who approached the traders when the pay and display went in to see if they required free parking passes for their staff then they could get them from me.
It was also myself who reduced the minimum parking from 50p to 25p, but in the article this was not mentioned.
Now to take this a step further, the pay and display was taken down and has not been in use since March of this year. The reason it was put in in the first place is that a lot of the time I had a full car park and nobody in my pub, and at the end of the day I am a business just like anybody else in the area.
Even when I had removed all the signs, covered up the machine, people were still looking for somewhere to pay as when they came in to have something to eat or drink they got their money back as they had got used to it.
Just to finish, as well as the nine spaces I have also offered more spaces but as yet this has not been taken up.
