PEOPLE in Pendle are being encouraged to walk off their New Year's Eve hangovers and make a healthy start to the year by joining a guided walk through Marsden Park on New Year's Day.
Members of the public, along with their dogs, are being invited to take part in an hour-long walk around Marsden Park in Nelson, which will be led by two of the council's park rangers who will offer information about the setting along the way.
Margaret Keighley, the Marsden Park Ranger, said: "Going for a walk on New Year's Day is a very healthy way to start the New Year. For some, it might even help clear a hangover from the night before!"
"The health benefits of walking are well documented. We welcome dogs as long as they are on leads. The park rangers will offer information about what there is to see in the park and talk a little about the history of the park and plans for its future development during the course of the walk."
Further details can be obtained from Margaret on 01282 661600.
