SANTA officially arrives in Leigh next Thursday, December 20, and will celebrate with a fantastic firework display for all the family!
The town centre fun starts at 6.30pm when Santa will be parading down Bradshawgate in a decorated Victorian horse drawn carriage, assisted by his elves who will distribute chocolates and balloons to children.
Music will be provided by Old Hall Brass Band playing a selection of traditional festive favourites to get everyone in the Christmas mood!
Fireworks display
From Bradshawgate, the carriage will take Santa to the Town Hall square ready to meet and greet the kids before a super fireworks display which starts at 7pm.
Then it's back into the town centre for some late night shopping until 8pm. Don't forget car parking is free from 4pm and ALL town centre car parks (including Bengal Street and Lord Street car parks) will be open until 8pm for shoppers.
For those of you who can't wait until 20th December, Leigh town centre is open until 8pm today (Thursday) with festive music from Old Hall Brass Band.
All this year's town centre events, including the summer entertainment and Christmas celebrations, have been organised by the Leigh Town Centre Management Initiative which works to help improve and promote Leigh town centre.
