A MAN arrested after a teenage boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Burnley at the weekend is due to appear before Burnley magistrates tomorrow.
Nigel Patrick Canning, 32, of Manchester Road, Burnley, is charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report it.
He was also charged with a number of other motoring offences, a police spokesman said.
Anthony Tattersall, 13, of Wiswell Drive, Rawtenstall, died in Pendlebury Hospital, Manchester, after being in collision with a car in Centenary Way on Saturday. Police said after the accident that the driver did not stop.
