FOR a rip-roaring, traditional pantomime the Library Theatre's Mother Goose really hits the mark.
In a riot of music, fabulous sets and outrageously corny gags Jeffrey Longmore brings fun and frolics to this family favourite.
With around half the audience under ten years old, the show was bound to be feast of audience participation, and it didn't fail.
With screams of 'It's behind you' from curtain-up and sing-a-longs to close the show, the audience was exhausted by the end of the day
Led from the front by Longmore as Mother Goose, we meet up with Jack, the wicked witch and Priscilla a very special goose that lays golden eggs.
This magical fairy tale has all the best ingredients that kept the children, and adults, smiling all the way through.
Mother Goose will guaranteed an eggsellent, their joke not mine, Christmas treat for all the family.
Mother Goose. Wythenshawe Forum, Manchester until 12 January, 2001.
