KING George's Hall rang to the sound of timeless classics at the annual Lancashire Evening Telegraph tea dance.
Nearly 250 people turned out in their dancing shoes to take to the floor in the Windsor Suite, and enjoy dancing and mince pies.
And the dance was a sell-out.
Regulars Peter and Alison Kelly, who make the journey from Darwen every year, happily joined in the fun.
Alison said: "It's been great, and we'll come back next year all being well. It's always very well run.
"They always put a good variety of music on, and we enjoy it all. We seem to know everybody!"
The crowds were entertained by Stan Eccles, who only took a break from spinning his classic tunes to give away tasty bottles of wine in the special 'spot dance' competition.
Stan, MC and organiser with his wife Olwyn, said: "We've been running the dance for years. It's always a sell out, and everybody loves it. It's so cheap, and they all get their free mince pies!"
