Traffic wardens swooped on 33 untaxed cars in the same Bury street after a tip-off from a member of the public.
Wardens were dispatched after receiving complaints about two untaxed cars on Spring Street, but they found a further 31 cars without up to date discs after a quick scout around the area.
The owners have now been reported to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency for investigation.
Sergeant Martin Greenwood of the Bury Police Traffic Unit described the high number of tax disc dodgers as "unusual".
He said: "To have 33 cars without tax on adopted roads in such a small area is unusual but not unique. These tax dodgers will now be reported to the DVLA who will make the decision whether to prosecute or not.
"Those at fault could face heavy fines and be ordered to pay back duty."
Sgt Greenwood said his officers and the traffic wardens were always prepared to report motorists who blatantly refuse to pay their car tax.
He added: "Who is to say that those without tax may have no insurance either. We will keep our eyes peeled."
