ROVERS' reserves roared to an excellent 3-0 win over Middlesbrough last night in the north east.
Striker Marc Richards -- recently back from a spell on loan with Oldham Athletic -- led the charge with a smartly taken brace before Burton O'Brien then wrapped up the points by scoring direct from a corner in the dying seconds.
"It was a great all-round team performance," said manager Alan Murray.
"We kept our shape, we worked hard, and made it very difficult for them on the night.
"So I thought we were better than them because we showed more desire."
Rovers' team was: Kelly, Grayson, Taylor (Michael), Greer, Howson, Corbett, Danns, O'Brien, Morgan, Walters, Richards. Subs: Watt (for Corbett, 70), Donnelly (for Morgan, 80), Bell (for Walters, 80)
