DJs Sarah Cox and Chris Moyles could soon find themselves out of a job if the first broadcast attempts by pupils at West Craven High Technology College are anything to go by.
The school was granted a temporary radio licence and the station was sponsored by local businesses.
Amy, 14, said: "I was very nervous to start with but it was really good and I enjoyed it. It was scary because we were the first on at 8am when it launched.
"It was different from when we practised because everything's got to be faster but it was all right when you got used to it. When they put me on for two of the shows I was well shocked."
The pupils spent time working with Dave Blaxhall, who also trained the children at Ivy Bank and Darwen Vale.
