BABES in the Wood meets Dracula when Leyland's C'est Tous Theatre Company presents its annual Christmas panto' production.

The South Ribble company has taken the traditional tale and injected a little Rocky Horror-style showmanship into the show which it describes as a mixture of traditional and futuristic fantasy.

Also present when the cast takes to the stage at the Marsden Theatre in Worden Park will be Robin Hood and his merry men.

Artistic director Christine Appleby -- who is acclaimed for playing various roles in past C'est Tous productions including one of the three witches in the company's recent show Macbeth -- has enlisted the help of some of the industry's top names to ensure the production is of the highest calibre.

Lighting designer Phil Ellams, who is giving his services free of charge, has created a special lighting display for the show.

Ellams, who recently returned from his latest project in Hollywood, has worked on several productions for C'est Tous which was quoted as one of the top three touring companies in the North West this year by trade newspaper The Stage.

The show's choreography promises to be sexy, sassy and hardcore jazz, thanks to the efforts of Danny Price whose recent credits include working with pop sensation Janet Jackson.

Early next year (Jan 20) Danny will be holding a master class at the Marsden Theatre for aspiring dancers of any age.

Babes in the Wood plays at the Marsden Theatre, Worden Park, Leyland, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday (Dec 21) and noon, 4pm and 7.30pm the following day.
