THEY shall go to the ball! And pupils of King Edward and Queen Mary's infant school, Lytham, made sure their own Cinderella travelled in style for her Christmas panto.
The pupils put on their own version of Cinderella for mums, dads and grandparents this week, and lucky Cinders travelled in a coach that lit up and was met at the ball by scores of princes and princesses!
Just before yesterday's show (Wednesday) headmistress Meg Hargreaves said: "The show lasts about 45 minutes and everybody is looking forward to it. All 82 children are in it, from the nursery upwards.
"We are going to see Cinderella at the Grand, but we have got some wonderful actors and actresses in Year Two so we wrote our own version of the play for them.
"We have got a smoke machine and a coach that lights up -- the Grand will have nothing on us!" she laughed.
