BLACKPOOL pupils enjoyed a dramatic glimpse of college life during special workshops held in the town.
Students from several high schools took part in drama, dance, music technology and media workshops put on by Blackpool and The Fylde College on Wednesday, December 5, at the School of Performing Arts and Media, Palatine Road.
The youngsters were all from years Nine and Ten and hope to work in performing arts and media.
Those in the drama group took part in a number of drama exercises with college tutor Brian Hindle. The dance workshop was run by Julia Griffin, who taught the class a dance routine which they performed at the end of the session.
And the music technology and media workshops, run by Paul Robinson, allowed pupils to try out state-of-the-art recording studio facilities.
Head of performing arts Paul Daniels said he was impressed by the high standard of pupils and their enthusiasm.
He added: "These sessions were the first of a number to be held this year. The workshops are meant to be fun but also to help the pupils decide what they might want to study after they leave school.
