A MACHINE operator went for a pint -- and ended-up winning a dream holiday.
Tommy Yates, aged 49, from Atherton -- a regular of the White Bear pub -- won a two-week Caribbean cruise in a nationwide raffle organised by brewers John Smith's.
Martin Watkinson, licensee of the White Bear, who sold the winning ticket, also wons a £2000 prize.
Mr Yates was among drinkers in 8,000 pubs and clubs given a raffle ticket every time they bought a pint. Over 18 million tickets were issued in the world's biggest ever raffle.
