MAKE A note in your diary! The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is bringing a festive feast to Blackpool's Grand Theatre this Sunday (December 16).

Starting at 7.30pm, the orchestra is celebrating Christmas in Blackpool with a traditional English Christmas concert including music from Handel, Walton and Vaughan Williams.

Joining the musicians will be the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, bringing its own Christmas touch to favourite carols such as Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful.

The evening will also feature seasonal readings from the works of Dickens and Laurie Lee. The orchestra is conducted by Ian Tracey and the concert presented by Roger Royle.

A theatre spokesman said: "This wonderful Christmas concert guarantees to capture the magic of the festive season. There is no better way to start your Christmas celebrations."

Tickets are priced from £8.50 to £18.50 and concessions are available. For more information, or to book, phone The Grand Theatre box office on 290190.
