RUNAWAY NWCL Division Two leaders Stand are beginning to think about promotion -- but boss Nick Davis is not letting it get to his players' heads.
For while the club is making moves both on and off the pitch, Davis has warned his players that complacency is now their biggest enemy with Stand 12 points clear at the top of the table.
Ahead of tomorrow's home clash against Ashton, Davis said: "The chairman John Barrington keeps telling me that if we miss out now then it will be the biggest throw away in history.
"He is keeping me on my toes and I am keeping the players on their toes. While we are beginning to think about going up I will make sure that complacency doesn't creep in among the players."
Off the field the club is now looking to upgrade its ground and improve floodlights while Davis is already on the lookout for players good enough for Division One.
He added: "I have already signed Lee Wilkinson from Trafford and ideally I would like to get another two or three in before the end of the season so that they can get used to playing together.
"We have eight games in the next two or three weeks and after that we should know exactly what we need to do. I might be able to start experimenting with a few new players."
Stand are boosted by the return of midfield man Steve Carroll after a five week ban but left back Alan Dixon is struggling with a groin strain.
