POLICE are warning women to be on their guard after a man indecently exposed himself to a female driver.
The incident happened as the 30-year-old woman was sitting in her car in traffic on Oakenhurst Road, Blackburn.
As she waited to pull away in her car a man walked up to the passenger side of the vehicle and exposed himself through the window.
He then ran off down Oakenhurst Road towards Wensley Road and the woman reported the incident to police.
The offender was described as a dirty-looking white man, unshaven, small build, aged in his late 20s, wearing a dark grey woollen bobble het rolled up at the base, a grey woollen jumper and dark trousers.
Det Sgt Mark Evans, of Blackburn CID, said they were keen to trace the man or speak to any witnesses who may have seen him in the area.
He added: "This was obviously a distressing incident for this female driver who was subjected to this as she sat in her car in traffic.
"We are eager to try to trace the offender to prevent him putting anybody else through the same thing."
