DOUBLE trouble led to Bury's second defeat when they took on Morecambe.

First off was Disco Dave Studholme who missed his double and lost 3-1, but although steady darts brought Martin Barrett a win he, too, missedw his double on one leg.

In game three Julian Wierzbicki busted his 84 with his last three darts of 18 and lost the leg. He followed up with 18 and then 15 but still lost 3-0.

Veteran campaigner Duncan Edwards missed his double with seven darts on the first leg but managed to win it. He missed again in the second and third legs to go down 3-1.

Steve Plummer was a winner for the team but only after a tremendous struggle. He won the first two legs, missed his doubles in three and four but then squeezed through for a 3-2 margin.

Billy Mac lost a leg, won one, lost another and then fired six darts at his double before going down 3-1.

Bury's steadiest player at the moment is Jamie Tracey and having lost the first leg he hit back to take the next three with the help of six 'tons' and a maximum.

Carl Woolnough set off like a rocket with a 180 in his 14-dart leg and another win in leg two. He missed his double in leg three but took the fourth for a 3-1 win to make it 4-4 overall.

John Hughes was then unfortunate to meet Morecambe's player of the day. John had eight 'tons' but opponent Les Toth responded with 12 of them and a maximum. The winner's average was 85.48 and John had 79.17 in a defeat which saw him take a 15-dart leg.

Scott Heywood had the responsibility of trying for the draw and was 2-1 to the good when he missed a double on leg 4. Both player had fifteen darts at doubles in the final leg which went to Morecambe who won 6-4.
