A CHRISTMAS crisis at a popular rescue centre has triggered an urgent appeal to people in Leigh.
Manchester Dogs Home has more than 500 dogs in its care -- and it is having to consider destroying some of them.
The home is appealing to both the public and other rescue centres to take a dog if they have room.
If you can give a desperate dog a home, visit the centre on Moss Brook Road, off Church Lane, Harpurhey, Manchester. It is open Monday to Saturday, 1pm until 4pm, and Sundays from 1pm until 4pm.
