I AM sick and tired of reading about poor old Jonathan Pollard's treatment by the stewards and police at Gigg Lane when he was just "entertaining" the crowd out of the goodness of his heart (he didn't actually do it for nothing as reported, he was paid).

Jonathan, aka Robbie the Bobby, started out as a good laugh. Even I had to laugh at his antics, and I am one of the so-called "gloomy-faced" stewards!

What everyone fails to understand is that we ejected Robbie only twice, once for winding-up the Stoke fans and then for fighting with the Cardiff mascot. The other times he supposedly got "thrown out" were simply cautions from the fourth official and police. Robbie chose to leave and was straight on the phone to newspapers for his own publicity.

So what's the problem? We have still got a "Robbie". The children love the new one and does it matter if the grown-ups don't? I work with children and if I did the things that Jonathan Pollard did in front of my class I would be ejected. Why should it be different for him?

I would suggest to all the moaners that they watch the antics on the pitch instead of watching the stewards and the policemen. If this is too boring, maybe it is time to go and watch another club.
