MOST residents in Bury will have no refuse collection during Christmas week, the council says.
Tuesday's collection will be done on Saturday, December 29, and Tuesday, January 8; Wednesday's collection will be on Wednesday, January 2; Thursday's collection will be on Thursday, January 3; and Friday's collection will be on Friday, January 4. Excess rubbish will be taken away, the council said.
But the civic amenity sites in Bury, Radcliffe and Prestwich will be open every day over the festive period from 8am to 6pm, except for Christmas Day.
Christmas trees can be taken to the sites for recycling and for each one left there will be a donation to charity from the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority. For more information call 0161-253-5353.
