JON Macken's agent has poured cold water on fresh reports linking the Preston striker with a move to Ewood.

Rovers boss Souness is known to be in the hunt for a new forward, with an injury to Matt Jansen adding to the pressure to bring in reinforcements.

Macken has been on the transfer list at Deepdale for the past three months, during which time North End have turned down a £4million bid from Wolves for his services.

And with Souness desperate for a new striker, Macken's name has been thrown into the frame.

But the player's agent Dave Lockwood said: "I don't know anything about that whatsoever."
