THANK you very much for the publicity on the book "1963 Blackburn -- a proud town," and the new "part two" edition -- the final section to complete the collection of photographs of the town 38 years ago before redevelopment.
The book, which is available in town centre shops, has been a phenomenal best seller and through it many thousands of pounds have been raised for stroke patients on the rehabilitation ward at Queen's Park Hospital.
For those new to the book, the superb pictures are an accurate historical account of our once-proud and splendid town which was the jewel in the crown of the North West.
The book is the final account of our town before the destruction so the pictures are a fitting tribute to Blackburn folk old and new and make a wonderful Christmas present.
MR DINO CHRISTODOULA, Blackburn
