NINE regular volunteers at the Barnardo's shop in Church Street, Colne, have been awarded service badges.
They were presented by former shop manager Gillian Holden at an event at the Crown Hotel, Colne, before everyone tucked into a Christmas dinner and mince pies.
Two of the volunteers, Charlotte Bailey, 23, and Bick Yuk Chung, 20, were also awarded certificates for fearless fundraising by abseiling 80ft at Halton College, Widnes, raising £150 for the children's charity.
"Volunteers are an essential part of any charity's work," said Gillian, adding: "At Barnardo's Colne we are lucky to have the best volunteers around. I'd like to thank them all for their hard work and achievements."

Certificates and green badges for one year service were awarded to: Hannah Jenkinson, Amanda Broadhurst, Charlotte Bailey, Tony Leecey, Wyn Foster, Allison Wardell and Bick Yuk Chang.
Certificate and silver badge for three years, Brenda Duerden, certificate and gold badge for ten years, Wendy Fryer.
