THE next time you pull a fiver from your pocket or your purse, spare a thought for its history.
For all you know, it might have been used by someone famous a few days before or be fresh off the printing press.
Well guess no more. One young student has set up an innovative - and some would say pointless - website that lets you keep track of all the paper money you ever encounter.
It's called Doshtracker (http://www.doshtracker.co. uk/) and makes use of the unique code number printed on every single note of money.
So once the number has been entered into Doshtracker's database, it can be tracked and its passage around the UK or beyond mapped out.
And even if you are a new user you can log in and enter a code number, and find out if the note you hold in your hand has previously been added to Doshtracker.
The idea behind the site is completely crazy, but it looks clean and uncluttered and works really well - go on stick your hand in your pocket.
