A CAR stolen from a Mosley Common driveway was later used in an armed robbery at a Burnley supermarket.
Police believe the supermarket snatch could have been carried out by a gang from this area.
The green Honda Accord Aerodeck, registration number P841 HJKD, was stolen on December 12 from an address in Edenvale. Another vehicle disappeared around the same time from the same area.
The Honda Accord Aerodeck was next seen on Saturday when it was abandoned in Clay Street, Burnley by armed hooded raiders who had terrorised staff and customers with a sawn-off shotgun, a handgun and an axe at a nearby Kwik Save supermarket.
Anyone with any information should call police at Burnley on 01282 425001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
