ABOUT 350 people packed into Bury Parish Church for the annual Bury Hospice carol service on Monday night (Dec 17).
The church's own choir was joined by the choirs of St Joseph's and St Bede's Primary School, Bury, and Gorsefield Primary School, Radcliffe, together with the Chamber Orchestra from Bury Music Centre.
Hospice fund-raising manager Mervyn Reeves: "Several people said it was the best they had been to for many a year. Everyone seemed to enjoy it thoroughly, and we even ran out of printed hymn sheets."
