A WINDOW of opportunity opened up for a Radcliffe businesswoman and now she's a winner!
For Lesley Longworth's busy fruit and veg store in the town's Blackburn Street has captured a unique inaugural best dressed shop window award.
She certainly had the festive factor with her popular shop taking the honours in the competition run by Radcliffe Area Board's shops sub-group.
Earlier, Bury mayor Councillor Paul Nesbit and Radcliffe Area Board chairman Coun Barry Briggs had gone out "window shopping" in and around the town centre to select the winners.
Coun Briggs said: "A lot of effort had gone into the window dressing and the mayor had his work cut out to come up with a winner.
Lesley's winning window proved a real eye-catcher with its colourful, Christmas-themed decorations.
The businesswoman, who has run the Blackburn Street shop for the past six months, said: "I was delighted to win."
She was presented with a special salver by the mayor. The competition is set to become an annual event. Runner-up was Scribble Farm, also based in Blackburn Street.
