CHORLEY boss Ken Wright needs to sign a keeper before tomorrow's match at Eastwood Town.
Regular keeper Simon Marsh is out and the usual stand-in, Paul Eatock, is not available tomorrow because of work commitments.
So Wright has been frantically searching for a new goalie for tomorrow's game.
"I need to sign a keeper but I have one or two irons in the fire," said Wright. "Paul usually covers but we didn't give him enough notice to get the time off work.
"It has never been a problem before because usually if Simon can't play Paul can."
Chorley qualified for the Chairman's Cup by finishing third in their UniBond League Cup group this week but, had they beaten Rossendale on Tuesday rather than losing 2-1, they would have finished second and qualified for the President's Cup.
But that didn't worry Wright. "The UniBond League Cup is a competition I always try to give players who haven't had a game in a while a run-out.
"I did that on Tuesday and to be fair we didn't deserve to win but we are still in one of the knockout competitions."
Danny Kent, Michael Wallace, Noel Corrigan and David Eatock all got a run-out. "With the changes made it didn't lend itself to a good performance," added Wright.
CHORLEY are at home to Trafford on Boxing Day.
