POLICE are hunting for a motorist after a teenager was knocked down by a driver early today.
The 13-year-old girl, who has not been named, was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary with serious head injuries after the incident near to her home in Revidge Road, Blackburn ,shortly after 6.30am.
Her parents are at her bedside.
Police said the driver of the car, which would have had "substantial damage" failed to stop at the scene and are appealing for any information.
Roads were closed early today around Revidge Road, Preston New Road, Dukes Brow and Shear Brow as police accident investigators combed the scene for any evidence.
