BURTON ALBION'S boss Nigel Clough is tipping Accrington to be a Conference side - even though he is hoping it is not this season, writes DANY ROBSON.
UniBond Premier League leaders Burton are the visitors to the Crown Ground tomorrow where a bumper crowd is expected as Stanley look to boost their own bid for non-League's top flight.
They do trail Burton by 12 points but have a game in hand and, while Stanley are 13 games unbeaten, Burton have picked up one point in their last two games.
"They are one of the sides were are looking over our shoulder at along with Barrow, Lancaster and Altrincham," said former Nottingham Forest and Man City midfielder Clough.
"It is probably not a good time to play Accrington at the moment as they are scoring a lot of goals and we are perhaps not in the best of form.
"I hope they don't get promoted this season - obviously we want it to be us - but with the money from the sale of Brett Ormerod, their support and the team, they will be up there next season."
Clough is relieved that former Bury striker Lutel James isn't involved - he sits out the last game of his three match suspension.
"We are quite pleased he isn't playing. When we played them last time Lutel caused us all sorts of problems but, saying that, Simon Carden seems to be scoring the goals at the moment so they are all a threat.
"They have a mixture of former pros and youngsters like us and it seems to be the key. You need to have that blend.
"I am sure it will be a good game and there should be a tremendous atmosphere. We will be bringing a few as we have had good support all season and I know there will be quite a lot for Accrington."
