RAMSBOTTOM'S midfield hot shot David Yorke-Robinson has signed a contract with the Riverside club.
Yorke-Robinson, who has scored 18 goals this season including one in each of the last nine games, was the target of West Lancs League leaders Kirkham and Wesham.
"He's not going anywhere," said manager Mike Kelly. "The approach has really forced the issue but I have been talking about putting David on a contract for a while.
"I have told him if a UniBond club came in for him I wouldn't stand in his way but he said he didn't want to go to a UniBond club because of all the travelling so I am delighted.
"That is two players now - David and Russell Brierley - who have committed themselves to the club and to me as a manager."
The Rams travel to local rivals Clitheroe tomorrow.
"It is a nice set-up even if the fans can be a bit intimidating."
Blues manager Lee Sculpher says it is the defences that will have to be on top and Kelly agreed. "They have Neil Spencer and Lee Cryer who are both players who, if you give them an inch, will put the goal in the back of the net.
"One lapse in concentration could really cost us.
"But Clitheroe will have more than our front two, Russ and Jamie Taylor, to worry about. We have David Yorke-Robinson and other players who have started banging the goals in from midfield.
"If we keep a clean sheet I will be very happy because it will mean we've got something out of the game."
The Rams will meet Atherton in the next round of the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy after the Manchester side beat Nelson on penalties on Wednesday night. "It would have been nice to have got one of the big teams but we have more chance of progressing and drawing a big team in the next round," said Kelly.
RAMSBOTTOM play Abbey Hey at home on Boxing Day.
