BLACKBURN Police today said inquiries were continuing into allegations of a sex offence at Blackburn Rovers' training ground. The allegations followed a Christmas party at Ewood Park though club officials have stressed it was not related to the party.
Detectives quizzed the girl at the centre of the allegations following a complaint of an incident at Brockhall Village, off the A59, on Monday night.
Two members of Blackburn Rovers staff voluntarily attended Blackburn Police Station on Tuesday where they were questioned by detectives and later released without charge. Police now say it is unlikely the two will be spoken to again regarding the allegations.
A spokesman for Blackburn Rovers confirmed they were aware of the allegations against the members of staff and conducting their own inquiry.
