IF you want a decent red at a decent price that will go with most food this festive season you can't do much better than this berry-rich offering from Chile. It's from the Colchagua region near the Andes and is soft and very easy to drink and without too many rough and (for some) headache-inducing tannins. It's strong at 13.5 per cent . . . but it is Christmas! JACOB'S CREEK CHARDONNAY PINOT NOIR BRUT-CUVEE, £6.99, Tesco IT'S got to be bubbly this week. Jacob's Creek is just about the most popular brand name since Piat D'Or and Blue Nun were the top of the pops and not without good reason. Their wines are consistently top quality and this sparkler is no exception. Bottle fermented and creamy smooth with toasty, nutty flavours, it's also one third of the price of champagne!
