FESTIVE food hampers were presented to older people when workers at Jubilee House in Blackburn decided to spread seasonal goodwill in the community.
Staff from Capita Social Services adults' administration team joined forces with Blackburn with Darwen Council's Care and Repair section to play Santa at Derwent Hall Day Centre in Darwen.
A collection at the Social Services building raised enough to provide seasonal goodies for 30 people, many who live alone and have no family.
WH Smith donated wrapping paper and decorative bows and Asda, Blackburn, gave fresh fruit.
A Care and Repair handyman dressed up as 'Santa' to deliver the hampers. to Derwent Hall.
He was joined by Capita and Council staff dressed as festive characters, including Rudolf, an elf and a snowman.
The event is part of the Blackburn Partnership Christmas Challenge.
WH Smith, Blackburn, also donated two large sacks of toys to Social Services.
