PUPILS from two Accrington schools will feature in a special edition of TV's popular Songs of Praise, to be broadcast on Palm Sunday.
A total of 50 children, aged between seven and 11, from Green Howarth C of E Primary and All Saints' C of E Primary, travelled to Preston where the show has been filmed at St Walburge's Church.
Irene Wensley, head teacher at Green Haworth, said the filming had been a great learning experience for the pupils.
Peter Jump, head of All Saints', said the experience would live long in the minds of the children involved.
Transport to the event was organised by the East Lancashire Business Partnership which also provided relief cover at both schools so that pupils and teachers could attend rehearsals prior to filming.
