THE driver of a Renault 5 GTX ran off after his car was in collision with a Vauxhall Cavalier containing four people.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident at 3pm on Sunday on Briercliffe Road near the junction of Shackleton Street, Burnley, or anyone who knows the identity of the driver to contact the road policing unit on 01282 472431.
The Cavalier was driven by Shakile Sultana, 42, of Castle Street, Brierfield, who suffered shoulder and whiplash injuries.
Her passengers were Riffat Sultana, 33, of Thursby Road, Burnley, who had chest and whiplash injuries, Safad John, 66, of Ashton-under-Lyne, chest and back injuries and Mohammed Sarmed, seven, of Castle Street, Brierfield, who sustained a facial injury.
