A THREE-year-old girl from Bacup suffered a ruptured spleen in a head-on road accident in Rochdale.
The girl, who was travelling in a car driven by her 31-year-old father from Shawforth, was restrained by an adult seatbelt in the rear passenger seat of his red Kia.
The accident happened on a left hand bend of Shawclough Road at the junction of Whitworth Road at 3.45pm on Friday when the Kia collided with a Vauxhall Nova, driven by a 17-year-old male from Bacup.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact Rochdale Traffic Unit on 0161 856 8473.
The child was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool.
