STUDENT Ejaz Ahmed swapped his desk at Brierfield's Mansfield High School for a place at Burnley and Padiham Community Housing.
The Pendle pupil spent a fortnight at the housing company's Princess Way offices in Burnley learning about all aspects of their work.
Quality manager at BPCH Martin Sample, said: "School placements are an invaluable introduction to the world of work. We have been happy to be able to strengthen our links with the local community and assist Ejaz with his work experience.
"He has worked hard and has proven to be very willing to learn during his time with us."
Ejaz said: "I have a better understanding of housing work now and also have learnt the value of good teamwork during my time here."
