Radcliffe Boro 1 Rossendale Utd 3
THE Stainton Park pitch was almost unique in the North West in beating the Boxing Day freeze but the end result backfired on Boro.
Rossendale boast the best away record in the Unibond League and this latest three points cements their position in the leading four in the table.
Boro remain top only by virtue of most other fixtures being postponed.
With 19-goal striker Jody Banim suspended Boro lacked a cutting edge up front but not so the visitors. Jerome Fitzgerald got the opener on 21 minutes and Paul Lynch made it two. Radcliffe got a goal back on 61 minutes when Lee Kissock converted a penalty but Rossendale scored again through Leigh Athletic midfielder Darren Bowman.
