WALKERS will take to the Rossendale hills in memory of the late Rudy Plummer early in the New Year.
Rudy, 74, of Burnley Road East, Whitewell Bottom, died in August. The former teacher and keen cyclist was a volunteer who ran guided walks from Groundwork Rossendale for several years.
On January 6 a walk entitled 'This One's For Rudy' will leave the bus shelter in Water Village at 1.30pm. It will be led by Maggie Wilcox.
Walkers will be able to enjoy the open scenery in the quiet valley.
It is an easy short walk of four miles and suitable for families with children.
