EIGHT members of the same family have appeared before Blackburn magistrates following two incidents which resulted in people needing hospital treatment.
In the first incident, in Audley, Yasser Ghalib was allegedly stabbed and in the second Afzal Parvaiz was beaten unconscious in Leeds Close.
Seven men and a woman appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with violent disorder.
They were Jahangir Iqbal, 49, of Leeds Close, Haseeb Ahmed Jahangir, 19, of Leeds Close, Nasar Khan, 19, of July Street, Zahir Iqbal, 32, of Dundee Drive, Kamran Siddique, 21, of Walter Street, Qudeer Iqbal, 45, of Strathclyde Road, Tanveer Jahangir, 23, of Leeds Close, and the female Kurshed Jahangir, 51, of Leeds Close.
Haseeb Jahangir and Nasar Khan are both charged with a second offence of violent disorder and Nasar Khan is charged with wounding Yasser Ghalib with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
All eight were remanded on bail until January 9 after defence solicitors Basharat Ditta, who represent seven of the accused, and Roger Pickles agreed a variety of conditions with the prosecution.
