THE funeral of a well-known Radcliffe landlord will take place on New Year's Eve.
Adrian Wild (43), died suddenly at the Bridge Inn pub which he had run with his wife Lesley for the past seven years.
A funeral service will be held at St John's Church in Heywood on Monday, December 31. The cortege will leave the Dumers Lane pub at 12.45pm.
The funeral service will be held at 1.30pm and Mr Wild will be buried at Heywood Cemetery.
The landlord was a heavy goods vehicle driver for many years before entering the licensing trade seven years ago.
He was well-known to the many Bridge Inn regulars who are mourning his death which occurred on December 20.
Mr Wild leaves two daughters and a son. He died from natural causes.
His wife, Mrs Lesley Wild said: "Everyone at the pub has been so good since my husband died. They have been very understanding."
Mr Wild had been chairman of the Radcliffe PubWatch scheme, launched in conjunction with the police to prevent trouble in public houses throughout the area.
A keen golfer, he had been a member of Bury Golf Club for a number of years.
