A TOWN centre electrical outlet is racing into the future following a £110,000 refurbishment.
Plumbs, of Crompton Street, Bury, was last kitted out with a new interior in 1975, with a revamp long overdue.
Sports car driver Perry McCarthy, a regular at the Le Mans 24-hour rally, was guest of honour for the television and audio outlet's grand re-opening.
Champagne was served, with a prize draw for customers.
The entire ground floor interior has been rebuilt, to provide a higher quality shopping environment for products to be displayed.
With the firm pitching itself at the top end of the electrical market, half of floor space is now taken up with Bang and Olufsen goods.
Manager Derek Isherwood said: "We're very conscious of the quality product that we sell for more discerning customers, and it was time for a change."
