A PRESENTATION was made to the diabetes specialist team at Burnley General Hospital in memory of the late Jean Maycock.
Mrs Maycock, a diabetic, died earlier this year and her family and friends presented the unit with charts and models of anatomy for use in education about diabetes.
Jean was a long serving member of the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale branch of Diabetes UK.
Secretary Jackie Wetherell said: "She was a member for at least 36 years and is sadly missed. She worked tirelessly for the branch fund-raising for diabetes and often involved her family including her daughter and three grandchildren."
Members of the family helped at Christmas parties, autumn fairs and collected in local stores on behalf of the branch. Over many years she also made and provided refreshments for the branch meetings.
Jean's daughter Gill and grand daughter Louise attended the hospital unit to present the gift on behalf of the family to specialist nurse Alison Shirreff.
