COUNCILLORS will be asked to agree to the diversion of a local footpath.
The path links the Lomeshaye industrial estate to a riverside path along Pendle Water.
The application to the Brierfield and Reedley committee has been made by Macaw Soft Drinks Ltd who were recently granted permission for a building adjacent to the path.
The building is for up to four articulated trucks to be loaded by means of forklift trucks and the path runs over the service yard.
Councillors, who meet on January 8, will be told the application was made on the grounds that there would be an unacceptable risk to the public in operating the yard with a public right of way across it.
Several objections were made to an original plan to divert the path around the perimeter, but the revised plan is said to have taken those concerns into account.
The diversion is described as minor and the recommendation is for a diversion order.
