RUNNERS from Rossendale Harriers took part in the traditional Boxing Day Whinberry Naze Dash carrying a cardboard coach and horses and dressed as Dick Turpin.
The runners were among 175 who left King Street, Cloughfold, to run the four miles up Whinberry Naze to Cowpe Low and back down. First back was Rob Hope, of Pudsey, who beat his own record of 22mins 36 seconds.
Second and first under 18 junior home was Alex McVey of Horwich and third was Todmorden runner George Ehrhardt.
First female runner home was Lucy Whittaker from Saddleworth with a record time of 28mins 49 secs.
