A BLACKBURN town centre pub will be turning back the clock when it opens for a January sale with a difference.
The Postal Order, Darwen Street, will be selling the first 200 pints of Theakston Best Bitter for just 50p - the price that it would have cost back in 1981.
The bargain beer will become available on January 2 but be warned, the offer is purely on a first come, first served basis.
And the knock-down prices will also include Budweiser at 99p a bottle, a pint of Spitfire at £1.09, a pint of Carling at £1.29, Guinness at £1.49 a pint and spirits at £1.49 for a double.
The pub's 'sale' runs from January 2 until January 23 and manager Neil Longley is confident that it will prove popular.
"Department stores and shops hold their sales in January so I thought it would be a good idea to have one in the pub too," said Neil.
"Given the choice of a trip to a sale in a department store or the sale at the Postal Order, I believe that most people would choose us."
