POLICE are investigating reports that fire bombs were thrown at a pub in Leigh after a fire broke out.
A fire brigade spokesman said the fire, at about 11.30pm last night, was restricted to the lobby of the Red Lion in Westleigh Lane, Westleigh, because the landlady managed to close an internal door and the landlord put out the flames with a fire extinguisher. Bottles and cans were found at the scene.
