RAMSBOTTOM manager Mike Kelly will not be taking Flixton for granted when the two sides meet at the Riverside tomorrow.
The NWCL first division strugglers are nine points adrift at the bottom of the league with just one win and one draw all season.
"They're in dire straights," said Kelly. "I don't think they have even got a manager at the moment but I always get edgy when we meet these sides."
Kelly is still on the hunt for a centre half to shore up his defence with Warren Brierley and Dave Roach probably out for the season. Mike Smith, who was released from Rossendale in December, could return though after taking work-related exams this month.
"Warren can't play every game and he said it wasn't fair to the team to only commit himself to one in every three games. He wants to give 100 per cent.
"Dave is off work at the moment with an injury to his finger."
